Plagiarism:
It seems to be a common misconception that information on the Internet is public property and therefore free for the taking. This is not so!
It has even been said that one should consider it a compliment if someone copies their work. This may (perhaps) be true providing there is a link to the original work. However this seldom occurs, and, even contacting the perpetrator will very often not bring about the desired outcome. We have come to the conclusion that the only course of action available is to publicly name and shame the perpetrators.
Copying information word for word without giving credit to the actual writer is plagiarism. It is a serious offence which can have consequences.
It's truly amazing how any (so-called) Vedic Astrologer can be so ignorant of the law of karma and the consequences of wrong actions. Plagiarism is stealing, plain and simple!

What is Plagiarism?
Many people think of plagiarism as copying another's work, or borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying" and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense:
In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward.
But can words and ideas really be stolen?
According to U.S. law, the answer is yes. The expression of original ideas is considered intellectual property, and is protected by copyright laws. Almost all forms of expression fall under copyright protection as long as they are recorded in some way (such as a book or a computer file).
Most cases of plagiarism can be avoided, however, by citing sources. Simply acknowledging that certain material has been borrowed, and providing your audience with the information necessary to find that source, is usually enough to prevent plagiarism.
