Although Obama's certificate of birth was made available for public scrutiny, there are some who dispute its authenticity and claim the lagna (Asc.) to be either Libra or Gemini.
I disagree with this, and, in fact, had decided on Capricorn long before the birth certificate was published.
What led me initially to look at Capricorn was Obama's facial features. Natives's with this Ascendant are somewhat easy to pick due to their often prominant (heavy or elongated) chin.
Of course one can't base a decision on this observation alone, the horoscope has to be scutinised very carefully and verified by confirming major life events.
NB: Although these characteristics may be quite recognisable to the keen eye, other influences can, no doubt, modify the physical characteristics to a great extent.
Obama was born under the tenth sign of the zodiac (Capricorn) with the lord of his Ascendant (Saturn) conjunct debilitated Jupiter in the 1st house.
Ascendant (lagna) is aspected by both 8th lord Sun and 9th lord Mercury from their position in 7th house. Both Saturn and Jupiter (in retrograde motion) occupy nakshatra of Sun.
FAMILY:
With Ketu in 2nd house of family (speech and finances) whilst his dispositor (retrograde 2nd lord Saturn) conjuncts debilitated 12th lord Jupiter, Obama has had an unsettled and unusual family life. His parents were of mixed race...father native African (Kenyan), mother English (American).
Mixed caste/race is governed by Ketu (who occupies 2nd house of family)...

This possibility is strengthened/supported with Ketu's dispositor (1st/2nd lord Saturn) conjunct debilitated 12th lord Jupiter. Both Saturn and Jupiter occupy nakshatra of Sun, dispositor of Rahu (co-owner of 2nd) who himself sits in Ketu's nakshatra. Furthermore Ketu's own nakshatra lord (Mars) is conjunct (this) Rahu.
NB: Half-caste is a term used to describe people of mixed race or ethnicity. Caste comes from the Latin castus, meaning pure, and the derivative Portuguese and Spanish casta, meaning race. The term originates from the Indian caste system.
Obama's parents divorced when he was still a young child (1964)...his mother remarried in 1965. Depending on the (actual) date of marriage, which I don't have at present, Obama was likely running dasa of MO-SA-SA. 1st/2nd lord Saturn (in lagna) is conjunct 12th lord Jupiter...12th, as we know, governs step-father as well as travel to foreign lands; and In 1967 Obama moved to Indonesia with his mother and step-father where he attended his first 4 years of elementary school.
In 1971 he returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents. Again no actual date of his return to Honolulu; but certainly towards the end of the year (late Oct/early Nov) maternal grandparents, signified by Ketu, would have become a key influence in his life with dasa of MA-MA-KE running at that time.
